Questions For Mr Azevedo

1) Does Franklin High School overuse water even without there being a drought? How does the District determine how much water a particular area needs?
2) Do EGUSD schools water the grass even on rainy days? Why?
3) Which EGUSD school uses the least amount of water? How much?
4) What are some low-cost methods of reducing school water usage?
5) Can we possibly replace sprinklers with water conserving alternatives?
6) Can our district afford and work with changing some areas around campus to concrete?
7) Can the length of watering time be reduced? If so, how?
Cool How much water does our campus use annually and by month?
9) What type of sprinkler system does our school use?
10) How much does our school district spend on water? Does PG&E provide discounts to schools? If so, how much?
11) How much does our district allocate to maintenance?
12) Is there a possible map of our school that can show the locations of ALL sprinklers on campus?
13) Can sprinklers be repositioned so that their output is not being wasted onto the concrete? What would be the cost of doing that?
14) Can sprinkler systems be temporarily deactivated in the event of a storm, flood, spill, etc?
15) What is the financial state of The District at this time?
16) What model of sprinkler is the most efficient and least wasteful?
17) How should we approach the school’s general population to convince them that action is needed?
18) What would be our next steps if the District were to turn us down?
19) Is it more important for us to stop watering the many small areas on campus or the few large areas on campus?
